The average consumer now buys 60% more items of clothing than in 2000, but each garment is kept for half as long as consumers discard items more quickly. As much as 84% of clothing ends up in landfills!
That’s why, as more shoppers become aware, they are starting a new clothing trend: recycle what you no longer wear and buy from second-hand shops! This new trend makes us happy!

All proceeds from the Thrift Shop go directly to the support of our Food Pantry and Community Programs.
Our new “Kid’s Room” is now open
Kid’s Room.
Our brand new Kid’s Room is open! One room is dedicated to children’s clothing and even has a reading corner for kids. All children’s sizes from babies to school age is all in one spot. Check out the next room for toys, books and games. You may find some great play clothes or a special occasion outfit. Even find a toy to keep a toddler occupied or a little something for a grandchild coming for a visit Items are priced between $0.25 and $4.00.

Friendship House does not accept credit cards or debit cards.
Dishes, knick knacks, kitchen tools.
Housewares.
Housewares including dishes, plates, bowls, and trays can be found in our dish room. Kitchen tools and gadgets, flatware, pots and pans are for sale.
For the home, you can also find items such as pillows, blankets and tablecloths. Craft supplies, books, movies and games are also available for very reasonable prices. What will you find?
Prices.
Our prices are very reasonable. Clothing prices range from under $1.00 to $3.00.
Coats, pants, sweaters, dresses, shoes.
Clothing.
Donated clothing, shoes and coats are available in a range of sizes and styles. Sweaters, jackets, pants and jeans are arranged on our racks in easy to find sections. The clothing selection is replenished often and completely changed with the seasons. Prices range from $2.00 for a dress to $5.00 for a coat. Accessories including all types of jewelry, women’s scarves and men’s ties are also available.

We gratefully accept used items in good condition for sale in the Thrift Shop.
Items for donation should be complete and in good working order. Clothing should be stain free without excessive wear or tear. Any items that don’t meet these criteria will not be accepted for donation.
